I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. Ephesians 1:18-19
Dear Lord Jesus,
May my meditations be pleasing to You, for I rejoice in the Lord. Psalm 104:34 Lord, I pray that You Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:2-24 Lord, help me Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12 I pray that You protect me from the evil one and comfort me with Your presence. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 I pray that You help me trust in You alone and not in my own mind or human reasoning. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. Proverbs 3:5-8 Lord, please help me seek to understand Your Word accurately and interpret it responsibly. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
Lord, I praise You for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who is my teacher and my helper, guiding me into all truth. But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him. 1 John 2:27
Lord, help me be prepared to answer everyone for the hope that I have in You. But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. 1 Peter 3:15 Lord, help me put off the old self, which belongs to my former manner of life, and help me put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:24). Like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 1 Peter: 14-15 Lord, help me suffer for the sake of Christ, and so do the will of God in this way. For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ, you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake. Philippians 1:29 Lord, remind me always of this magnificent truth, and comfort me in knowing that You work everything into good for those who love You. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 Lord, thank You for taking away my anxieties when I bring them to You. You are my refuge and the God of all comfort. I always feel relaxed and calm after spending time with you. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 Lord, I pray for all of my brothers and sisters to come to know You more and more and grow in the grace and knowledge of You…and I pray that for me too. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. Ephesians 1:17 Lord, I praise You for Your grace that gives me the power to choose that which is good, right, and true by Your gift of the Holy Spirit who lives inside me. What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Romans 6:1-2 Lord, I give my life to You because You died for me. I believe in who You are and what You did for me. May You help me live for You every single day, keeping you at the center of my life 24-7-365. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 Lord, I thank You for saving me, washing me, and setting me free in Jesus, by grace through faith. I am no longer in bondage to sin and condemned by the Law. I am a new creation in Christ and now walk in the Spirit by Your grace. Therefore there is now no condemnation for those found in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1-2 I praise You for being the God of peace. Thank You for the peace that surpasses all understanding. What a precious gift that comes with having faith in You! Your peace helps me sleep soundly at night, knowing I am forever secure in Jesus, no matter what. In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8 Lord, I know that nothing is impossible for You. With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 Lord Jesus, help me come to know You more, grow with You more, and love You more. Help me love others more too. Help me be more patient, gentle, and meek. I pray for a more humble heart, which generates true love for others. 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:36-40 All glory belongs to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In Jesus name, I pray amen.
Love,
Jenna
26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. 30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, 31 so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:26-31
